Why Using the Same Video in Every Country Is Not Enough for Medical Tourism Advertising

By Akın Tığlı · October 26, 2026

When Subtitles Change, the Decision Journey Must Change Too

Translating a doctor’s video into different languages speeds up production. Yet the same opening, information order and contact step may not answer the questions in every market. At Sosyal Zeplin, we start by examining incoming questions, service scope and the support the clinic can actually provide, rather than assigning personalities to countries. The examples in this guide are not client results or performance promises.

Define the Question Before the Country

Group recurring questions received by patient coordinators into topics containing no personal information: speaking to the doctor, the assessment process, travel schedules, follow-up after treatment and communication language. Record the sample size and data period for each language. Without enough data, do not assume a country only cares about price or only about trust; treat these questions as content hypotheses to test.

Create Different Narratives from One Main Shoot

Record the doctor’s introduction, assessment approach, clinic environment and international patient coordination as separate blocks. For example, the first video might open with how the assessment consultation works; the second with how follow-up communication is organised. Shared clinic footage can be used, while changing the information order and opening question. Set the length for the platform placement; do not shrink necessary explanations until they become unreadable in short versions.

A Practical Translation Checklist

Finalise the text in plain Turkish first. Have the doctor check medical expressions and a target-language editor review meaning and naturalness. The institution’s name, the doctor’s title and service scope must reflect the same facts in every version. Read subtitles on a phone, checking their match with the audio and line breaks. Have a person check pronunciation, emphasis and meaning in AI dubbing; do not add a medical claim the doctor did not make.

How Should the Production File Be Prepared?

Keep the language, opening question, main message, footage, subtitle file, doctor’s approval and destination page for each version in one table. Include language and version codes in filenames. In vertical footage, keep faces and subtitles away from interface buttons; allow a different frame for horizontal page videos. Providing clean master footage, a subtitled export and editable text in the delivery folder makes later revisions easier.

The Advertisement and Landing Page Should Answer the Same Question

Someone arriving at a Turkish homepage from an English video has to search for information. Prepare a page matching the advertised service and language. Make the doctor’s identity, assessment steps, actual service scope and contact options clear. Deciding who will respond and in which language after a form submission is also part of operations planning. Do not turn the follow-up described in an advertisement into a promise of support the institution does not offer.

Review Policies Separately from Translation

Google Ads healthcare and medicines policy requires advertisements and destination pages to comply with applicable laws; certain content may only run in specified locations and circumstances. Approval of one language version does not automatically authorise it for another country. Check current rules for the service, target country and platform before publication. This section does not say that all healthcare advertising is permitted. The use of patient images and the institution’s authority to advertise require separate assessment.

Start Testing with One Variable

Compare two opening questions with the same targeting and similar publication conditions. Changing language, duration, budget and page simultaneously makes it harder to identify the reason for differences. Alongside viewing rate, track page visits, completed forms and enquiries suitable for assessment for the relevant service. Record a message becoming a clinical assessment and a treatment decision as separate stages.

A Concrete Workflow for the First Month

In week one, review existing videos and incoming questions, then choose one main question for each of two languages. In week two, produce shared filming blocks and different openings. In week three, complete the doctor, language editor and policy reviews, then match the videos with pages. In week four, evaluate measurement and coordinator feedback together. This example schedule may take longer depending on approvals and resources; it is not a guaranteed timeframe for success.

Consider Production and Advertising within One Plan

In medical tourism, a video is not just a delivery file. The message, page and response process need to work together. When deciding which question should lead to which page as part of medical tourism advertising management , the advertising shoot must produce the footage and dialogue that answer that question.

Official Source and Review Date

The Google Ads healthcare and medicines policy, reviewed on 26 October 2026, must also be examined for each target country and service. Check the current policy text again when setting up a campaign.
