As Sosyal Zeplin Creative and Yerel Miraslar, we completed a project that truly mattered to us. We created the video story of this special journey on the Lycian Way as part of PATH/MİRAS. We did more than film: we walked the route, witnessed it and tried to convey the authentic emotion of those moments.

An International Art Gathering on the Lycian Way
The project brought artists from different countries together in Kaş, uniting art, nature and history in one journey. The natural and historic character of the Lycian Way was more than a backdrop; it was a living part of the narrative. We aimed to convey the moments we encountered as authentically as possible, without excessive intervention.
Planning Before the Shoot
Production on nature trails involves more than choosing cameras and equipment. The route, daylight, weather, walking pace, transport, sound environment and event schedule must be considered together. We prepared our shot list to balance the project’s message with actual conditions in the field.
Following the Story in the Field
Participants’ experiences, the scale of the setting and small details of the event were brought together in a consistent visual language. Wide shots described the Lycian landscape, while close-ups revealed creation, encounters and human stories.
Our Production Process
- Narrative structureWe defined the project’s purpose, central message and the feeling we wanted viewers to take away.
- Route and scene planningWe coordinated locations, lighting times, movement and the event schedule.
- Field filmingAtmosphere, participants, art, nature and history were recorded at different scales.
- Editing and rhythmImages were selected and arranged to strengthen the project’s narrative flow.
- Platform adaptationWe planned outputs from the main film suitable for social media and short communication formats.
Telling Stories of Natural and Cultural Heritage
In heritage-focused projects, representation matters as much as aesthetics. Images should not use a place merely as a backdrop; they should respectfully convey the relationship between nature, history, local context and participants.
It Was More Than a Job for Us
Being part of such a meaningful project was more than a production assignment: it was a creative process we genuinely valued. From filming to editing, scene planning to visual rhythm, we approached the entire process in a way that preserved the project’s spirit.
Conclusion
The PATH/MİRAS work became a film that brought the powerful landscape of the Lycian Way together with artists’ experiences, intended to be felt as well as watched. We continue to tell stories, create and take part in work that leaves a mark.
